Talisker 14 Year Old ‘Molten Seas’ continues the theme of experimental single malts from Skye featuring in the Diageo Special Releases. The 2025 edition was matured in volcanic rock-toasted American oak, giving this whisky an elemental, smoky edge to its maritime character.

Nose
A mellow yet forward maritime profile with dry, briny sea air and mineral top notes. As the whisky opens, the aroma becomes fruitier with hints of white grape, alongside light vegetal notes reminiscent of parsnip. A few drops of water bring out deeper maritime notes and a subtle touch of peat smoke.

Palate
Smooth and creamy in texture, marked by a pleasing balance of sweet and salty flavours. Characteristic Talisker spice develops quickly, with controlled peppery warmth and gentle hints of peat. With water, the palate becomes softer and sweeter while preserving its spicy character.

Finish
Medium to long, drying and lightly peppery with lingering maritime influence. Notes of spicy pink pepper and a faint smoky reminder of peat persist in the aftertaste, growing slightly with a dash of water.
