Teaninich 14Y (2010-2025) Hogshead & Margaux Cask Finish 59.2 SC Crafted In Cask "Berry Bros & Rudd"

Located in the northeast Highlands, Teaninich was founded in 1817. The whisky produced here is primarily destined for use in some of Scotland’s most popular blends. Teaninich is notable for being one of the few distilleries to use a mash filter instead of a traditional mash tun, a method more commonly associated with brewing.

TASTING NOTES:

A dram with a beautiful amber colour, the nose initially offers notes of milk chocolate, almond, and subtle red fruits. On tasting, richer flavours of blackcurrant, plum, and damson come forward, as the cask's influence takes hold. Adding a drop of water shifts the profile, reducing the chocolate notes and bringing out crisp green apple and fresh citrus. Though it may seem reserved at first, this whisky reveals surprising complexity with time.
