Located on the shores of Port Askaig overlooking the Sound of Islay, Caol Ila is renowned for producing a refined and fruit-forward style of Islay whisky. Its distinctive character combines maritime smoke with underlying elegance and complexity.
Bottled at 52.4% ABV, this release opens with aromas of sticky cola sweets, rich red fruit preserves, and caramelised sugar. The palate delivers waves of sweet, jammy fruit layered over classic Islay peat smoke, leading to a long finish of lingering coastal smokiness and sweet caramel notes.
