De firma William Cadenhead Limited, Wine and Spirit Merchants, werd opgericht in 1842 en was in handen van dezelfde familie totdat het werd overgenomen door de bekende Campbeltown-firma J&A Mitchell & Co.Ltd, die eigenaar is van Springbank Distillery. Het bedrijf is gespecialiseerd in het verhandelen van single cask malt whisky's die niet gefilterd noch gekleurd zijn, maar handelt ook in rum en gin.
