Handcrafted from organic barley harvested from our fields Kvolbak, Gejlund, Hojmark and Mosevang. Double distilled slowly in direct fired copper pot stills. Matured in PX, Oloroso and Bourbon Quarter Casks for 3 - 5 Years. Bottled in May 2026.

GLØD is the part of our core range that always features an element of maturation in fortified wine casks. This can involve a wide variety of cask combinations, but always includes casks previously used for wines such as Amontillado, Oloroso, and PX Sherry, or Marsala, Madeira, and others.
We always aim to source "old wood"—casks that have matured sherry for decades, for instance—rather than casks produced through so-called "seasoning" (casks manufactured specifically to be quickly readied for sale to the whisky industry). Old wood that has long matured wine possesses a magical character, allowing the whisky to mature gently and steadily over many years.
The casks used in our GLØD series give the whisky a special glow, colour and flavour. GLØD is always characterised by maturation in fortified wine casks. For example, sherry casks, which affect the flavour and appearance of the distillate.
A tribute to the coopers and their work with the wood and the embers that burn the inside of the casks, so that the wine and distillate can achieve their character via the additive maturation of the cask.
The casks that have matured GLØD 3.3 are 3 Pedro Ximènez-sherry Quarter Casks, 1 Oloroso Quarter Cask and 2 ex-bourbon octaves. This has given the whisky a beautiful GLOW, but also deep notes of caramel, raisins and prunes. With GLØD 3.3, it is the PX casks that play first violin.
We have full traceability from the individual bottle to the field from which we have harvested our barley.
