Nose: Juicy apricot, crunchy cornflakes, peach in syrup, candied cherry, muscovado sugar, coconut biscuits, nuts with a hint of tropical fruity sweetness.
Palate: Warm and complex: cassia bark, birch sap, honeycomb, gummy candies, caramel apple, vanilla custard, gentle oak — the bourbon cask influence is clearly present without becoming overpowering.
Finish: Full and smooth, with a viscous texture, well-balanced richness, and lingering sweetness. Long and elegant oak, vanilla tones, and a subtle fruity aftertaste.

This 9-year-old Dalmore 2015 came from single cask 4428, a first fill bourbon barrel bottled without colouring or chill filtration, and turned out 238 bottles at a powerful 59.1% natural cask strength. Indie Dalmores are rare, particularly bourbon cask examples, so this will be fascinating.
