Nose: A relatively conservative nose (small c) which isn’t giving to much away. Fresh honey, Victorian boiled sweets, black tea blossom and a gently costal note with something more herbal…wild mint perhaps?
Palate: Treacle tarts with a hint of salt caramel but that minty note has vanished. So gentle for a dram at 49.8%. A truly unique expression of a world famous dram that we have all loved.
Finish: A long, tingling finish which makes the mouth water. The herbal note is back on the finish but this time it is more menthol than mint. A delight in a glass.
