Nose: Fresh and subtle. Swept by a saline sea breeze, the aromatic palette also reveals beautiful notes of green barley, intertwined with licorice, vanilla, candied lemon, Williams pear. With aeration,
Palate: Broad and graceful. Supported by rich, oily peat flavors, hints of exotic fruits (pineapple, banana), beeswax, acacia honey, enriched by chamomile, verbena and milky (coconut) notes
Finish: Rich and concentrated. In line with the palate, the peat becomes more licorice-like, aniseed, slightly empyreumatic (eucalyptus). A melting pot of herbal (samphire, sea kale) vegetal (zucchini flower)

After the Myths & Legends I and II releases, dedicated respectively to Balblair and Glen Elgin, the London-based house Compass Box created a third single malt, this time honoring the Clynelish distillery.
This edition, playfully named “This is not a Blend,” is the result of marrying seven first-fill bourbon barrels distilled in 2015, then finished for eight weeks in ex-Bowmore 2002 casks.
Bathed in a lush, maritime atmosphere subtly marked by peaty and licorice notes, its aromatic and flavor profile unfolds throughout the tasting with pastoral freshness and a remarkably airy elegance.
