Nose
A creamy, soft opening with notes of chocolate mousse and roasted malt. The stout influence is immediately noticeable: cocoa, espresso, dark bread and a touch of molasses. Fruity aromas add depth - dark cherries, stewed plums and hints of blackcurrants. With time in the glass, warm vanilla emerges, along with nutmeg, clove and a subtle wisp of wood smoke.

Palate
Full, rich and surprisingly elegant for a stout finish. The mouthfeel is oily with a pleasant sweet-bitter balance. Flavours of dark chocolate, mocha beans, dark honey, caramel and lightly roasted nuts. In the mid-palate, the fruit returns with blackberries, cassis and a touch of orange zest. The malty stout notes remain prominent but never become harsh; instead, they add depth and creaminess. At 54% ABV it delivers power without any aggression.

Finish

Long, warm and complex. A blend of dark chocolate, roasted malt, gentle hop bitterness and sweet fruit. Hints of peppery spice, oak and a lingering chocolate-toffee impression. The stout influence lingers for minutes.
