Winemaking:
Sourced from small plots, the carefully selected grapes are harvested by hand into crates in September, very early so that they arrive at the winery in the morning. After 3 days of pre-fermentation maceration, alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel vats at 24ºC. The must was pressed in a hydraulic press and malolactic fermentation occurred in French oak barrels (new and second year), where it aged for 14 months.
Exam notes:
Made only in exceptional years, this wine, with its bright red color and intense aroma, has notes of spices, ripe red fruit, and tobacco on the nose. On the palate, it is fresh, with elegant tannins and a long finish.
