Longrow represents the peated side of Springbank, distilled at Springbank Distillery, and this 23-year-old edition shows just how beautifully smoke and sherry can come together when given time. The whisky was matured entirely in Oloroso sherry hogsheads and bottled at 43.7%, resulting in a profile that is elegant and layered rather than forceful.

Although Cadenhead and Springbank belong to the same group, this is considered a typical Cadenhead bottling: maritime, idiosyncratic, and full of character. Expect notes of rock pools, tropical fruit, and cigar boxes, followed by grilled pineapple, sea salt, and coffee, with a gentle campfire finish where smoke and sweetness are perfectly intertwined.
