It is with great pleasure that we announce the arrival of a brand-new addition to the Habitation Velier range: Rainforest 2024, available in limited quantities.
This Pure Single Rum is produced by Rainforest Distillers in Bukidnon, on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines, and showcases both the distillery’s artisanal craftsmanship and the authenticity of the Philippine terroir. Made from endemic Mampu sugar cane juice, the rum undergoes a long fermentation with dunder and muck within a unique tropical ecosystem. It is then distilled in a pot still and matured for 20 months in former Chardonnay casks.
Bottled at 58% ABV and without any additives, Rainforest 2024 reveals a remarkably expressive profile that is at once intense, vibrant and distinctly agricole in style, remaining fully true to the artisanal and educational philosophy of Habitation Velier.

Based in Bukidnon (Mindanao), the Rainforest distillery was founded in 2021 by Marc Schulze. Anchored in a preserved tropical terroir, it is committed to producing identity cane spirits, by promoting patient practices and a piecemeal approach to rum.
Habitation Velier - Rainforest 2024 is a pure cane juice rum made from the local Manpu variety. Fermentation lasts 10 to 12 days with dunder and muck, distillation in pot stills, then ageing in white wine barrels (Chardonnay).
