The Sexton Irish Single Malt Whiskey [Official Bottling] Distilled at Bushmills Distillery in Pot Stills - Matured in Oloroso Sherry Casks - 40.0% abv.

Although The Sexton has its own distinct brand identity, the whiskey is distilled at Bushmills Distillery.

Bushmills is one of the oldest licensed whiskey distilleries in the world and has been producing Irish single malt whiskey for centuries.

The whiskey was developed by Alex Thomas, who served for many years as master blender at Bushmills.

The name The Sexton comes from the historical role of a sexton.

A sexton is a person traditionally responsible for the care and maintenance of a church and its graveyard. The role often included tasks such as:

• maintaining the church building and grounds
• digging graves and preparing burials
• ringing the church bells
• assisting during funeral services

The name was chosen to reflect Irish folklore and traditions surrounding life, death, and storytelling, which are central themes in the brand’s identity.

This concept is reinforced by the brand’s dark, gothic aesthetic—including the black hexagonal bottle and label design, which evoke the atmosphere of old Irish cemeteries and historical churchyards.

PRE-ORDER TERMS & CONDITIONS

Pre-orders refer to orders placed for products that are not yet available in Tensu’s own warehouse but are offered by our suppliers. By offering pre-orders, Tensu enables customers to reserve limited and/or restricted bottlings prior to their official release.

Upon availability and receipt of full payment, Tensu will proceed with the collection or delivery of the pre-ordered product. Full payment is required at the time of placing a pre-order. Once payment has been completed, pre-orders are non-cancellable, unless a waiting list exists and the reservation can be successfully resold.

Pre-order payments do not constitute a guarantee of product availability but represent the customer’s commitment to purchase the product once it becomes commercially available. Release dates are subject to change and may be modified by the supplier. Tensu cannot be held liable for any changes to announced release dates.

n the event that available supply is insufficient to fulfil all pre-orders, orders will be processed strictly on a first-come, first-served basis. Customers whose pre-orders cannot be fulfilled will receive a full refund of the purchase price.
