Each series of Mystery Malt includes entries from many different distilleries, from new wave to established stills. The concept of MYSTERY MALT by Thompson Bros is an innovative and playful approach to selling Scottish single malt whisky.

Anonymity & Reveal

The whisky is bottled in black glass, featuring a uniform label that does not disclose the origin or age.

The true identity of the whisky (distillery and age) is hidden beneath the capsule (on a label) and on a sticker placed on the cork. Customers only discover what they have purchased at the moment of opening.

A wide variety of cask types is used, including bourbon, sherry, red wine, and cognac, offering a broad spectrum of aromatic profiles.

The shuffle system ensures that every case of six bottles represents a fairly balanced average value.
