This rum comes from Stade’s West Indies Rum Distillery in Barbados. It is made with molasses, undergoing a long two-week fermentation, and is then 100% pot still distilled. This production method produces a highly concentrated and expressive aroma profile.
The Hogo Monsta has an ester content of 2029 g/hL AA and an alcohol content of 56.6% ABV. No sugar is added.
This type of rum, also called high-ester rum, is traditionally used in very small quantities to enhance blends or add depth to cocktails. It is not intended for traditional consumption, but rather as an aromatic enhancer or tool for bartenders and mixologists.
