Kilkerran 8 Years Old - Cask Strength - [Official Bottling] Bottled 10/12/2025 - Bourbon Cask Matured - 57.7% abv.

Produced at Glengyle Distillery: Kilkerran Single Malt is produced at the historic Campbeltown distillery, Glengyle, originally founded by the Mitchell family and owned by the J&A Mitchell group since its re-build and resumption of production in 2004.

We pride ourselves on completing all parts of the whisky production process here on site, from the traditional floor maltings conducted at our sister distillery, Springbank, to the bottling of every edition at our bottling hall here in Campbeltown. Sharing a production team and calendar with the neighbouring Springbank Distillery, Glengyle has a short production period of around three months per year, typically operational from October – December.

Part of our limited core range, our Kilkerran 8 year old cask strength is released annually, either as a one or two part release. Previous releases have included full maturations in Bourbon, Port and Sherry, with the latest releases fully matured in Bourbon.

2026 Release

Nose: Notes of butterscotch and custard creams lead, with apple butter and white miso. Cream sponge and poached pear sweetness follows.

Palate: There is a creaminess on the palate in notes of shortbread crust and smooth caramel chocolate, with notes of gooseberries, white grapes, cigar box smoke and sandalwood developing.

Finish: Hints of green peppercorn and honeydew melon emerge in the finish, alongside an ashy note.
